A Pretty Photograph

Hi Friend
My name is Holly.  I am a stressed out mama, working outside the home, homeschooling and trying to make a microbusiness grow and thrive.  It is so easy to get caught up in it all.  Photography is an outlet for me.  A way for me to step back and see beauty in a situation.  A simple moment of reflection before jumping back into the crazy busy world that is my life.

 I've always loved photographs, the end product of photography.  There is a picture of me as a little girl getting on my Mom's lap with my baby album, the second one because I wore out the first one looking at it so much. That is what I want this blog to be about.  A mostly wordless collection of amateur  photos of my world.  There will be some current events but also many, many photos from the past.  I want to share my love of photographs with you friend, that little moment captured.  Along the way you will meet my family and friends and find the places that I love and live in, but that is not really the point.  The point is the pretty photograph.

Yep that is me and my hubby.  There are precious few photos of me after age 10 or so.  I really do like taking the photo more than being in the photo.  But I love the happiness and energy of this pic. Yep it is taken with a cell phone, the quality is not perfect that is not what makes a pretty photo.  I have and am continuing to learn how to improve my dlsr camera and photoshop skills, but I love cell phone pics, Instagram and all the quick captured moments to have there as well.
